Learning

Working in QA has helped develop myskills in areas of level design. With the task of testing multiple games with different genres and seeing their creating in house, helped gain a deeper understanding of game development and how levels are created. Talking to many senior members about the development process and talking about issues and how to resolve them was insightful.

I was given the chance to design and make a game as a lead designer and level designer, working along side a senior programmer and junior designer. As I designed and built the game, I was then tasked to QA the game along with the other games in development, and I got to see how simple things can be overlooked, or how you think something works well which turns out to be wrong. Working on both processes was really helpful in developing my skills.
