Game description:
Set on LV426, Hadleys Hope was the main compund featured in the movie Aliens, also re-created in the video game Alien Colonial Marines. The player takes control of a stranded marine, who has returned from a long venture across the planet. Returning after losing contact with control, the player must figure out what has happened and look for survivors.
Level description:
The player enters through North Gate, the same gate featured in the movie. Following through the corridors, the player must pass through damaged and dangerious walkways, move around damaged walls and blockades. The main goal, find a way into the control room and search for any information regarding what has happened.
Level Design:
This project is to work on my level design skills, by designing and whitebox out a level for a first person game. I first wrote up notes of how the level process plays out. Then using Photoshop, I designed a blueprint of each area the player would need to navigate with a short step by step guide.

Using Blueprints to create open/close doors when using a control panel.

Creating modular actors to build the corridors, allowing quick placement.

Blocking out the level using Unreal 5's Modeling Mode - Polymodel tools and other resources.

Creating materials for neons, signage and basic models.

Created animated objects, such as rotating lights and animated doors.

Creating mood board with images from the movies and games to help give ideas and direction.
Next Steps:
My aim is to finish whiteboxing the level, have controls for players to interact with, AI enemies to shoot and have a working UI/UX for player health, ammo and other pickups (inventory).
